Review: Gilded Ashes By: Rosamund Hodge

My inner child comes out every time I see a book about a classic fairy tale. I am all for twisting the classics. My favorite show of all time is Once Upon a Time. For those who do not know what that is, it is exactly as I explained. Taking the original stories and creating new ones with the characters that we all love so much. Going back to the book... I adored it. It was sweet, short but amazing. I loved this dark side of the Cinderella story. What I also found interesting was that did not have pure hate towards her step sisters like the original.Another cool twist was that Cinderella actually met Prince Charming BEFORE the ball and she is haunted bu the ghost of her mother and demons run her home...yeah. Bet you didn't expect that one. And the ending! It will leave you speechless. Hodge is deffidently one of my new favorite authors! I want to read every single book this author makes. There is nothing better than revisiting your childhood with a brand new pair of eyes.
