“There are no laws,no boundaries on feelings. We can love each other as much and as deeply as we want.No one,Maya,no one can ever take that away from us.”

I was not prepared for this book…

I was not prepared on getting so attached to the characters and I was not prepared to encounter a love so pure…so beautiful but yet, so tormented and destructive. Stunning. It was absolutely stunning. I could not stop- the book seemed to be glued to my hands. Lochan and Maya are not just brother and sister. Only 13 months apart, they are so much more than that. They are best friends- each other’s support system. The only person who seems to understand them. They have loved each other through the many brutally painful experiences and obstacles growing up due to their dad walking out and leaving them with an alcoholic mother with 3 younger siblings to raise. The compassion between the two of them will break your heart… and the ending is leaving me with so many emotions that I tear up thinking about it. This author is a genius. I am truly exhausted emotionally and psychologically after reading this book. I wept like a child. I’m sure you will too.

“I mean, at the end of the day, what the hell does it matter who I end up with if it can’t be you?”
